Apparently there's some bad blood between multi-octave divas Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey.

According to Access Hollywood, the war of words started when Aguilera said that Carey was "never cool to me" in the June issue of GQ.

"One time, we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to me," Aguilera told the magazine. "But it was at that time that she had that breakdown, so she might have been very medicated."

(In 2001, Carey was hospitalized for exhaustion after several bizarre public appearances, including a near-striptease on MTV's TRL.)

In response to Aguilera's comments, Carey told Access Hollywood, "I had hoped that Christina was in a better place now than the last time I saw her, when she showed up uninvited at one of my parties and displayed questionable behavior.

"It is sad yet predictable that she would use my name at this time to reinvent past incidents for her promotional gain," Carey added. "It is in my heart to forgive and I will keep her in my prayers."

Aguilera, whose new album, Back to Basics, is due Aug. 15, seems ready for a truce. "I do not want any bad energy with anyone," she told Accesswhen contacted for comment. "My intentions were not to upset Mariah with any statements that were published or taken out of context. I have all the respect in the world for her."

So, which party, could Mariah be referring to?
According to the National Enquirer-

Mariah warns Christina about booze battle

Christina Aguilera
The National Enquirer reports Mariah Carey has reached out to Christina Aguilera to urge the hard partying pop tart to seek help before she spirals into a full-blown alcohol and partying addiction. She told XXX-Tina, "You're going to end up burned out at 30, like I was!"
The scene happened at the party Mariah tossed after the American Music Awards, where Aguilera got so plowed that she nearly lost her skimpy top. Mariah played big sister to the younger diva, begging her not to buckle under the pressures and temptations of young stardom that Mariah herself nearly flamed out on.
Carey ordered her handlers to sneak the drunken Aguilera past photographers by covering her with a towel. Even while covered up, Christina continued boozing under the towel. But her cover was blown when her glass slipped and shattered on the sidewalk outside.

Christina vs. Britney

No More Kisses for Christina, Britney

Don't count Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, who started their careers together in "The Mickey Mouse Club" and both bussed Madonna at September's MTV Video Music Awards, as kissin' kin. In the December issue of Blender magazine, Aguilera, 23, says of Spears: "She seemed very distant, even during rehearsals.... She seems to me like a lost little girl, someone who desperately needs guidance." Spears, 22, hasn't taken Aguilera's comments lightly. As reported by the Associated Press, the pop princess recalls in the magazine's January issue a story about seeing former friend Aguilera for the first time in two years. "She comes up to me in a club in front of all these people and tries to put her tongue down my throat!," says Spears. "I say, 'It's good to see you,' and she goes, 'Well, you're not being real with me.' I was like, 'Well, Christina, what's your definition of real? Going up to girls and kissing them after you haven't seen them for two years?' "A lost girl? I think it's probably the other way around," adds Spears. "I can't believe she said that about me. When someone has been rude to you so many times, it's like, 'You know what, Christina, I'm really not about the fake ... anymore.' " Spears also reportedly told Aguilera to her face: "You're scary and I feel really dark when I'm around you.'"
